The Jupiter sextant is Tamaya's full sized "best value" calibrated and fully functional nautical sextant.
It has many of the features of more expensive sextants yet still has impressive +/- 12 arcsecond accuracy.
The large 57x42mm index mirror and 57mm diameter horizon offer a bright view.
The inclined handle provides a natural and comfortable grip.

The Tamaya Jupiter Sextant offers full illumination on both the arc and drum.
Interchangeable 4x40 or 7x35 monocular scopes are available.

The 4x40 scope has a brighter image than the 7x35 monocular and is best for low-light
conditions or when the vessel is heaving.
The 4x40 scope has fully coated optics and a large 40 mm objective lens to yield a sharp
four-power non-inverted image.
The Tamaya 7x35 monocular scope produces a sharp high power 7-power wide angle non-inverted image.
The Tamaya 7x35 monocular scope is more powerful than the 4x40 scope for more accurate readings.
Either scope fits both Tamaya's Jupiter and Spica Sextants.
