The Qibla Compass has both the standard 0 - 360 degree scale, as well as the 0 - 400 scale used in conjunction with a table of major cities for determination of the Qiblah. The Qibla Compass includes an instruction booklet that has a list of cities and the Qibla code associated with each city in the range of 0 to 400. Because of changes in the earth's magnetic variation, the numbers change about every 10 years. We maintain an updated list of the Qibla Compass Numbers for 1200 cities worldwide. To use the Qibla Compass to determine the direction of Mecca, first look up the Qibla code for your location. The Qibla Compass is accompanied by directions on how to use this compass and a list of major cities worldwide with a Qibla code in the range of 0 to 390 located next to each city. Perfect for traveling, this compass measures 1.9 inches (48 mm) in diameter, and 0.55 inches (14 mm) thick. To determine the direction of Mecca using the Qibla Compass, you must first look up the number for your present location.
