Full Description:
Our Stanley London® premium quality, clear-coated solid brass refractor harbormaster telescope is mounted on a solid mahogany tripod.  These are not the inexpensive 8 - 12 power decorative versions made from thin, easily dented 0.8 mm brass.  This telescope uses the highest quality 32-power precision coated optics and is made with dent-resistant heavy 1.2 mm thick brass.  The brass has a vapor deposition clear coating so the brass will not tarnish and never needs polishing.  The telescope uses precision ground coated achromatic glass optics and produces a clear 32-power non-inverted image.  For many years, mariners have considered 32-power to be the ideal balance between magnification and field of view.  Focusing is accomplished by rotating a large adjusting ring near the eyepiece.  A sunshade protects the objective lens from glare and the inside of the telescope is coated flat black to improve contrast.

The telescope is 44 inches (112 cm) long, 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) in diameter, has a tube outside diameter of 2 inches (5.1 cm), and an objective lens diameter of 50 mm (2 inches).  The telescope is mounted on one of two different heavy castings and a solid mahogany tripod.  The maximum height of the telescope is 63 inches (160 cm) and it can be collapsed to a height of 39 inches (99 cm).  We offer this telescope with two different telescope mounts: The standard mount and the elegant arc-shaped mount.  The telescope and the tripod are the same in both versions, only the mount between the telescope and tripod is different. The standard mount telescope with tripod weighs 18.6 pounds (8.5 kg) and the arc mount telescope with tripod weighs 19.1 pounds (8.8 kg).  The telescope is easily removed from the tripod, and the tripod collapses efficiently for compact storage.

The telescope can be custom engraved near the eyepiece with up to two short lines of text, such as a name and a date.  The main tube of the telescope can be engraved with artwork, a logo, or one to four longer lines of text.  Due to the large width of the engravable area, we suggest engraving full names rather than monograms or initials.
