We are pleased to offer this modern, accurate and fully functional oil-damped marine compass
in a solid hardwood box.
This boxed compass is gimbaled so the compass remains level even if placed in a boat that severely heels.
The compasses are high quality and certified accurate with solid brass machined housing and gimbal set.
The brass is lacquered so it will not tarnish.
The large compass is 5 1/4 inches (133 mm) in diameter,
the compass card is 4 inches (100 mm) in diameter, and the case measures 7 7/8 inches (20.0 cm)
square and 5 1/2 inches (14.0 cm) tall.
The compass also includes a wrench for adjusting the gimbal screws.
This item weighs 6 pounds, 4 ounces (2.8 kg).
Custom brass plaques are available for the outside of the case or the inside lid.
