Small Brass Sundial with Leveling Feet, Magnetic Compass and Solid Hardwood Case $47.50 This is a beautiful solid brass antique reproduction of a sundial with an internal magnetic compass.  The top of the sundial is hinged and a curved scale is used to set your local latitude angle.  The magnetic compass allows the sundial to be oriented North.  The compass features a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass's jeweled bearing when being transported.  There are three adjustable legs that are used to precisely level the sundial.  The sun's shadow cast by the sundial's vane marks the local time. The top of the sundial can lay down flat, and both the latitude scale and the sundial vane are hinged to lay flat for compact storage.  The sundial measures 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm) wide, 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall, 1 1/8 inches (2.9 cm) tall when collapsed, the body of the compass is 1 3/4 inches (4.4 cm) in diameter, and the sundial weighs 5.3 ounces (150 grams).  The brass sundial compass is polished to a beautiful bright finish.  A beautiful solid hardwood case is included for display and storage of the brass sundial.  The hardwood case measures 4 1/4 inches (10.8 cm) square, 2 1/4 inches (5.7 cm) tall, and weighs 10.4 ounces (295 grams).  Custom brass plaques are available that mount on the front, top, or inside lid of the case to personalize this beautiful gift.  We also carry two larger versions of this sundial with hardwood cases. Antique Small Pocket Sundial $28 The Antique Small Pocket Sundial is a beautiful reproduction.  The exterior of the sundial has beautiful antique look and is marked "Stanley London" on top of the lid.  The interior of the Antique Small Pocket Sundial is made of solid brass, and features two copper rivet.  The magnetic compass allows the sundial to be oriented North.  The sun's shadow cast by the sundial's vane marks the local time.   The sundial's lid and base have knurled edges so the lid is easy to remove and replace.  The sundial vane is hinged to lay flat for compact storage.  When the lid is closed this sundial is 2 inches in diameter (5 cm), 11/16 inch thick (1.7 cm), and weighs 3.4 ounces (97 grams).
