Information Regarding Stanley London's Privacy Practices
Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Castle Navigation Inc., doing business as Stanley London ("Stanley London," "we," "us"), makes engraved compasses, gifts, awards and plaques in Anaheim, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit stanleylondon.com, create an account, place an order or contact us. It also explains how we use and protect that information and the choices you have.
This policy covers stanleylondon.com, including orders we place on the website for you after you contact us by email or phone. Purchases from our Amazon and Etsy shops are covered by those marketplaces' own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to make, engrave and deliver your order and to run our website.
Information you give us
- Order and contact details: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number and, for business orders, company name and purchase order number.
- Payment details: card information you enter at checkout goes directly to our payment processor, Authorize.net. We do not store full card numbers. Authorize.net keeps your card securely so we can complete your order, adjust it or issue a refund. Unless you choose to save the card for future orders in your account, it is deleted after the refund period ends. With your order we keep only the card type, the first six and last four digits, and the expiration date. If we place an order for you, we email you a secure payment link so you can pay through the same checkout. Our staff never ask for card numbers by phone or email.
- Engraving details: the text you want engraved, and any artwork or logos you upload on our website or email us for your proof.
- Account information: if you create an account, your name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form), saved addresses, order history and any logos or artwork you save for repeat orders.
- Messages: what you tell us when you email or call us.
- Tax exemption certificates: California business customers who claim a sales tax exemption or resale exemption provide the certificate California tax law requires.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our web server and store software record:
- your IP address, browser type and device type
- the pages you view, the site that referred you, searches you run on our site, and the date and time of your visit
On our Contact Us and account sign-up pages, Google reCAPTCHA also collects information about your device, browser and how you interact with the page, to tell people from automated programs.
What we do not collect
We do not collect social security numbers. We do not buy information about you from data brokers or collect it from social media.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- process, engrave, ship and deliver your order, including sending proofs
- contact you about your order: confirmations, proofs, shipping notices and replies to your questions
- keep your engraving details and artwork on file so you can reorder quickly
- run your customer account
- understand, in aggregate, how visitors use our website so we can improve it
- prevent fraud and keep our website secure
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not send marketing emails. We email you only about orders, proofs and questions you have asked.
4. Cookies and browser signals
Cookies are small text files your browser stores when you visit a website. Similar tools store settings in your browser. We use only the three kinds below, all of which our website needs to work. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
| Type | What it does | Examples | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeps your cart, login and checkout working and secure | Store session and security cookies | No. The store cannot work without them. |
| Security (spam protection) | On our Contact Us and account sign-up forms only, checks that a real person, not an automated program, is filling in the form | Google reCAPTCHA | No. Those forms cannot be sent without it. |
| Functional (accessibility) | Provides our accessibility menu, which lets visitors with disabilities adjust text size, contrast, spacing and other display settings, and remembers their choices | UserWay accessibility tool | No. It is a functional part of our website that keeps it usable for visitors with disabilities. |
Google reCAPTCHA. Our Contact Us and account sign-up forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA. It collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser details, and sends it to Google to check that a person, not an automated program, is using the form. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to reCAPTCHA.
No analytics or advertising tracking. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and we do not use advertising, remarketing or social media tracking tags. Apart from the spam protection and accessibility tools above, whose providers use the information only to provide and secure those services, we do not allow any other company to collect information about your activity on our site over time and across other websites.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the shopping cart will not work, and forms protected by reCAPTCHA cannot be sent.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. There is no agreed standard for how websites should respond to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal, and our site does not change its behavior when it receives one. Because we do not track you across websites, there is nothing for it to switch off. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising, so there is also nothing to opt out of under state "Do Not Sell or Share" laws. If that ever changes, we will honor Global Privacy Control signals.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with other companies for their own marketing, or for advertising targeted at you based on your activity across other websites. We share it only with the parties below, and only as much as each one needs.

Our service providers may use your information only to provide their services to us.
California "Shine the Light." We do not share personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
6. How long we keep information, and how we protect it
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Order records, invoices and tax exemption certificates | As long as tax and accounting laws require, at least 7 years after the order |
| Engraving details and artwork | Kept so you can reorder easily, including logos saved to your account; we delete them if you ask |
| Customer account | Until you ask us to close it |
| Emails and messages | As long as we need them to handle your request and keep your order history |
Security. Our website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Card payments are handled by Authorize.net, which is certified under the payment card industry's security standard (PCI DSS). Only staff who need your information to fill your order can access it. No system is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct information that is wrong
- delete your information, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons
- close your customer account
You can update your addresses and account details yourself under My Account. For anything else, email sales@stanleylondon.com or call 1-714-692-8181. To protect you, we will confirm your identity by matching details from your orders before we act. We will respond within 45 days.
Whether or not a particular privacy law applies to us, we honor these requests from every customer. We will not charge you or treat you differently for making one.
8. International visitors
Stanley London is based in the United States. We store and process your information in the United States and wherever our service providers operate. Privacy laws there may differ from those where you live. We do not currently ship orders to the United Kingdom or the European Union.
If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Union or the European Economic Area:
- We use your information to fill orders you place with us, and to keep our website and forms secure (our legitimate interest). We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by contacting us (section 10).
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children's privacy
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Many of our gifts are for young people, such as graduation gifts, and a purchaser may give us a child's name to engrave. We use that name only to make the item. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy, and contact us
When we update this policy, we post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change to how we use your personal information, we also post a notice on our home page.
